Quadrivalent and bivalent refer to the quadrivalent HPV vaccine and the bivalent HPV vaccine. The recommended age for the quadrivalent HPV vaccine is 9 to 45 years old, and the recommended age for the bivalent HPV vaccine is 9 to 25 years old. The different valency types represent the types of HPV viruses that can be prevented in cervical cancer. The bivalent HPV vaccine can prevent the two most pathogenic high-risk HPV subtypes 16 and 18; the quadrivalent HPV vaccine can prevent HPV types 16, 18, 6 and 11, which can prevent cervical cancer as well as warts and so on. The main adverse reactions after HPV vaccination are redness, swelling and hot pain at the injection site, and systemic adverse reactions include fever, headache and nausea. Women in the recommended vaccination age group can be vaccinated with the appropriate valence type of cervical cancer vaccine, and should go to the hospital in time when relevant adverse reactions occur after vaccination.
