Astragalus can be used to treat deficiency of Wei qi (deficiency of positive qi in defending the human body’s muscle surface) caused by deficiency of the spleen and lung qi, and for those who have a deficiency of the surface and spontaneous sweating, it can be paired with astringent antiperspirant medicines such as oyster, such as Oyster San; and for those who have a deficiency of the Wei qi, have a deficiency of the surface and spontaneous sweating, and are susceptible to wind, it can be paired with Atractylodis macrocephala and Anti-fung to strengthen the surface by replenishing the qi, such as Yupingfeng San.
In addition, astragalus can also be used to treat yin deficiency night sweating (sweating abnormally after going to sleep and stop sweating after waking up), but it must be used together with dihuang and cypress to nourish yin and reduce fire, such as angelica six yellow soup.
For the natural state of long-term sweating, it is recommended to actively seek medical treatment in a timely manner, under the guidance of the physician to identify the use of medication, not blindly use astragalus, and where there is a surface of solid evil, internal stagnation, yin deficiency and hyperactivity of yang, sores and ulcers at the beginning of the first or ulceration of the heat and toxin is still abundant and other certificates, it is not suitable for the use of astragalus.
