Colon cancer causing acute bowel obstruction

The patient was 54 years old, stopped passing gas and bowel movements for 5 days, had abdominal distension and pain, and came to Shengjing Hospital for emergency treatment at night. The right half of the transverse colon, all of the ascending colon, cecum, appendix and 10 cm ileum were removed, the surrounding mesenteric lymph nodes were removed, the small intestine was decompressed and the ileum was anastomosed with the transverse colon. The pathology confirmed colon cancer, and no metastasis was found in the lymph nodes.
