What to do about pyloric stenosis

Gastroscopy reveals pyloric stenosis, and the management of this condition depends on the severity of the stenosis. If the pyloric stenosis is mild, it can be treated by keeping the stomach open for 1-2 days, then continuing a liquid diet and using pro-gastric drugs and drugs that inhibit gastric acid, such as mosapride citrate plus omeprazole and lansoprazole, which are commonly used in clinical practice. If the pyloric stenosis is more serious and the passage of food is completely blocked, then this condition should be treated surgically by shaping the pyloric duct. After shaping and surgical treatment, it is necessary to continue the treatment with drugs that inhibit gastric acid and promote ulcer healing, and the course of treatment is usually 6-8 weeks. In terms of diet, when pyloric stenosis is present, try to eat mainly cold, liquid food, and it is not possible to eat when the stenosis appears to have obstruction.
