There is no clear evidence that the younger the person, the more at risk they are for developing dry syndrome. Dry syndrome is a diffuse connective tissue disease that mainly involves exocrine glands. Common symptoms include dry eyes, dry mouth, and swollen and painful parotid glands, etc. The exact cause of the disease is still unclear, and the incidence and prevalence of the disease in women is higher than that of men, with a peak in the age group of 50-60 years old, and there is no clear evidence to show that the younger the person, the more risky he/she is to suffer from the dry syndrome. Dry syndrome may lead to multi-system and multi-organ symptoms, such as complication of glomerulonephritis, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary arterial hypertension, lymphoma and other complications, the condition is relatively serious, so patients with dry syndrome need to actively cooperate with the treatment after diagnosis in order to minimize the chances of complications, and through reasonable and standardized treatment, the prognosis of patients with dry syndrome is generally good. It is suggested that patients with dry syndrome should consult the rheumatology and immunology department of regular hospitals and actively cooperate with the treatment.
