The best way to treat hiccups

  ”Hiccups” are a common phenomenon in life, known as erratic reflexes, which are sound-producing movements caused by spasms of the diaphragm and can cause physical and psychological discomfort due to the rapid pulling action of the diaphragm. Most of the reflux will disappear after a period of time, so don’t worry too much. A few will have prolonged erratic reflux, also known as intractable erratic reflux. The following methods can be used to try to recover from the erratic state.  1. Deep abdominal breathing method: That is, when hiccups occur, you can try to do deep abdominal breathing by inhaling slowly and forcefully, relaxing and bulging the abdomen while inhaling, carefully feeling the diaphragm droop as much as possible, holding your breath slightly after inhaling enough air, and then slowly exhaling the gas. Diaphragmatic spasms may ease on their own when shifting attention and focusing on he things.  4.Sleep: Most of the hiccups will be relieved by themselves under the condition that the whole body is relaxed during sleep.  In general, hiccups are a transient physiological phenomenon and do not cause much harm to the body. If none of the above methods work and the hiccups persist for too long or even interfere with sleep, you need to seek prompt medical attention. Find out if there are any diseases that irritate the diaphragm, or treat them under lifetime guidance.
