Can I take Tegretol and Bolivar at the same time?

Tegretol and Bolivar have the same antiplatelet mechanism and should not be taken together. Both Tegretol and Bolivar are P2Y12 receptor antagonists, which inhibit ADP-induced platelet activation by blocking the P2Y12 receptor on platelets, thus achieving an antiplatelet effect. If dual antiplatelet agents are required in antiplatelet therapy, antiplatelet agents with different mechanisms of action should be used for antiplatelet therapy, either aspirin plus Tegretol or aspirin plus Polivir, for dual antiplatelet therapy. In clinical practice, for patients with acute coronary syndrome or coronary artery disease with stent implantation, dual antiplatelet therapy is required for at least 12 months to achieve intensive antiplatelet therapy.
