Nosebleeds in teenagers may be related to maxillary sinus hemorrhagic polyp, nasopharyngeal fibroangioma, nasal septum deviation and other diseases.
1. Hemorrhagic polyp of maxillary sinus: this disease occurs more often in adolescents, but there is no difference in the incidence of men and women; there may also be repeated unilateral rhinorrhea, accompanied by nasal congestion, with a long course of the disease, the development of slow. There may be dark red, easy to bleed lumps in the nasal cavity, and sometimes there are bulges in the cheeks.
2. Nasopharyngeal fibrous hemangioma: this disease occurs in adolescent males, which is a kind of benign tumor composed of vascular endothelial cells and fibrous connective tissue. Clinically, it often manifests as paroxysmal rhinorrhea and progressive nasal congestion.
3. Nasal septum deviation: in the process of growth and development of adolescent patients, the nasal septum bone and cartilage deviation occurs, after the formation of obvious deviated surfaces, spines or cristae, the protruding part of the mucous membrane is often thin, and can also be stimulated by inflammatory factors, environmental dryness, and mechanical damage and other factors, the phenomenon of every now and then nosebleed occurs.
When adolescents suffer from sporadic nosebleeds, it is necessary to consider the risk of additional diseases, and the diagnosis should be made after systematic examination by a physician.
