Chemotherapy may not be successful in every case, so ultrasonography and blood HCG should be closely monitored during MTX treatment, and attention should be paid to the patient’s condition and the toxic side effects of drugs. If the blood HCG decreases 14 days after the drug is administered and is negative for three consecutive times, the abdominal pain is relieved or disappears, and the vaginal bleeding decreases or stops, it is considered to be a significant effect. If there is no improvement in the condition, or even the occurrence of acute abdominal pain or symptoms of tubal rupture, surgical treatment should be carried out immediately.
