Mild Hernia Treatment

Mild hernias are too one-sided. There are two types of hernia treatments, one conservative and the other surgical. 1. Conservative treatment: applicable to infants and young children within 1 year of age, because with the gradual strengthening of the baby’s body, the abdominal wall can be gradually strengthened, the hernia has the possibility of self-healing; in addition, the old and frail or with other serious diseases that can not be operated on patients, can be short-term through the medical hernia belt in order to alleviate the symptoms. 2. Surgery: It is a common method of treating hernia, and currently the commonly used surgical procedures include traditional hernia repair, tension-free hernia repair, and transperitoneal hernia repair. For the repair of bilateral inguinal hernia, especially multiple recurrence or occult hernia, transperitoneal hernia repair is more advantageous. If a hernia is not treated in time, it will gradually increase in size and tend to lead to further aggravation of the defect in the abdominal wall. In addition, hernias can lead to incarceration, severe bleeding, strangulation, and possibly necrosis of the bowel. Therefore, it is important to consult a doctor as soon as possible after the occurrence of a hernia, and follow the doctor’s instructions to choose the appropriate treatment according to the patient’s specific situation.
