Female genitaloplasty is a new interdisciplinary field that has emerged in recent years, focusing on the cosmetic modification of the female genitalia. Female genital plastic surgery includes both vulvoplasty and vaginoplasty, and vulvoplasty is described in this popular article. Before introducing plastic surgery, let’s look at the normal female vulva. The female genitalia is like the human face, different from one person to another, with the same basic structure, but varying greatly in each specific structure. Figure 1 shows the main structures. Vulvar plastic surgery includes the following procedures: 1, labia minora reduction: mainly for bilateral labia minora asymmetry or redundancy of labia minora sense, hypertrophy of the patient to carry out a reduction of labia minora surgery, but also some women because of the discomfort when wearing intimate underwear and seek surgery. This is one of the most common surgeries in vulvovaginal plastic surgery. 2, labia majora (Labia Majora Reduction): Labia majora reduction is an operation to reduce the volume of the labia majora by reducing some of the fat in the area of the labia majora. 3.Labia Majora Augmentation (Autologous Fat Transplant to the Labia Majora): When you feel that your labia majora is thin, you can increase the volume of your labia majora by autologous fat transplantation under the abdominal wall and local injection. 4. Clitoral hood reductions: similar to male circumcision, by removing part of the foreskin on the surface of the clitoris, the clitoris becomes more prominent, increasing the friction of the clitoris during sex and improving sexual excitement. 5.Perineoplasty: It is mainly for the local repair of the perineal body that has been lacerated after birth. (Figure 4) 6. Hymenoplasty: surgical repair of the broken hymen and reduction of the size of the hymenoplasty hole is a classic female vulvoplasty procedure. The surgery repairs the old lacerated hymen, and after re-sewing, reduces the size of the hymenoplasty hole. 7, supra pubic vulvar lift (Supra pubic vulvar lift): this procedure is mainly to reduce the volume of fat on the pubic bone and lift the vulvar skin upwards.
