The normal range of monocyte ratio is 3% to 8%, and the absolute value of monocytes is (0.12-0.8) x 10^9/L. If only the monocyte ratio is out of the normal value, it does not indicate that there is something wrong with the body. If the absolute value of monocytes is also high, physiological high such as children or infants, and pathologic increase is common in certain infections, hematological disorders, acute infectious diseases, or recovery from acute infections. If the monocyte ratio is high, it can be checked again after a period of time. If the monocyte ratio and the absolute value of monocytes are high, it is recommended to do further examination to clarify the cause of the disease.
