A breast nodule is generally a small lump in the breast. Breast nodules often have no uncomfortable symptoms and are detected by ultrasound during a physical examination. What should I do about breast nodules? The first step is to determine the nature of the nodule. Small breast nodules are often out of reach of the physician and difficult to detect on mammography, especially in premenopausal women with dense breast glands that are more difficult to see on mammography. The nature of such breast nodules is mainly determined by ultrasound examination. 1. If the nodule is echogenic, with clear borders and regular shape, it is often a breast cyst, plus the cyst wall is not thick and there is no protrusion inside. Such cysts are mostly benign diseases. 2.If the nodule is hypoechoic, with regular morphology and clear border, it is long or oval in shape, which is characteristic of benign solid nodules. 3, If the hypoechoic nodule has irregular morphology, round or garden-like shape, fuzzy border, uneven internal echogenicity, strong echogenic light spots, and attenuated posterior wall echogenicity, such nodules may be malignant and biopsy should be considered to clarify the nature. For benign nodules, ultrasonography can be reviewed regularly to observe the changes, and oral medication can be administered according to the specific situation.
