Treatment options for central plasma choroidal retinopathy include clinical observation, laser therapy, and photodynamic therapy. Because the disease is self-limiting, clinical observation is the first option for most patients. If there is no improvement of the lesion after 3~4 months, if the disease is recurrent and the visual function has been impaired, if there are abnormal changes in the retinal neuroepithelial layer, if the contralateral eye has had centralized plasma choroidal retinopathy or even has left behind a visual function impairment, then it can be considered that the leakage point should be clarified by fundus angiography in a timely manner. If the leakage point is far away from the macular central sulcus, retinal laser treatment can be considered; if the leakage point is close to the macular central sulcus, photodynamic therapy can be used. Therefore, if central plasma choroidal retinopathy occurs, it is recommended to seek prompt medical attention and definitive treatment based on the test results.
