What are the treatments for osteoarthritis?

Osteoarthritis, also known as degenerative arthritis, is a general term for a series of clinical manifestations caused by degeneration or damage to joint cartilage. Osteoarthritis is based on cartilage degeneration and may include changes such as osteophytes (bone spurs), joint swelling (synovitis) and free bodies (joint rats). Advanced age, joint trauma, obesity, female, and family history are high risk factors for osteoarthritis. The clinical manifestations of osteoarthritis are joint pain, limitation of movement and joint deformity. Joint pain is predominant, manifested by the inability to walk for long periods of time, the inability to walk up and down stairs, the inability to squat, and friction sounds in the joints. Treatment of osteoarthritis: 1. Treatment of osteoarthritis is graded according to different degrees. 2. Adjustment of lifestyle and exercise: reduce joint wear by reducing joint load. Reduce physical work, less walking, avoid climbing and tai chi, change to cycling or swimming. 3.Oral medication: Oral glucosamine and other drugs to protect joint cartilage can be taken. Oral NSAIDS analgesics can be taken for pain. 4.Local medication in the joint cavity: a small amount of hormone can be applied to close the joint if the swelling is severe. Sodium glass acid can be injected according to the course of treatment. 5.Surgical treatment: The procedures available for osteoarthritis treatment are: flushing, arthroscopic cleaning, joint replacement.
