P wave in ECG is the process of atrial depolarization, if P wave abnormality is mostly suggestive of atrial conduction abnormality or heart rate abnormality, which is more serious, and the etiology should be sought in time.
1. Atrial abnormality: when the right atrium is enlarged, the P wave is often increased, which is common in compensatory hypertrophy caused by right heart insufficiency; when the atrium is enlarged, it is often bimodal, which is common in left heart hypertrophy caused by mitral valve stenosis.
2. Abnormal heart rate: including atrial tachycardia, atrial flutter, atrial fibrillation, etc. Excessive heart rate leads to a reduction in effective atrial contraction and a decrease in cardiac output, and patients may experience dizziness, palpitations, chest tightness and other symptoms. The ventricular rate should be actively controlled.
If P-wave abnormality occurs, you should go to the hospital in time, under the guidance of the doctor to carry out the appropriate examination to clarify the type of disease and treatment.
