A lumbar slip is when two adjacent vertebrae of the lumbar spine have slipped relative to each other. A lumbar four or five degree slip means that a relatively minor slip has occurred in the 4th and 5th lumbar vertebrae. Common treatment methods include general treatment, physical therapy, medication and so on. 1. General treatment: bed rest should be provided to reduce bending and weight bearing to reduce the load on the lumbar spine. When getting out of bed, it is recommended to wear a waist cuff to maintain the stability of the lumbar spine and prevent lumbar spondylolisthesis from aggravating. The waist cuff should be removed after the pain symptoms are reduced, and attention should be paid to strengthening the functional exercise of the lumbar back. 2. Physical therapy: hot towels or hot water bags can be taken to the lumbar hot packs, or ultrasound therapy, can reduce or eliminate muscle spasm and fatigue, relieve symptoms. 3. Medication: If the patient has pain symptoms, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen and diclofenac sodium can be taken orally to relieve pain. If accompanied by lower limb nerve root symptoms, can use methylcobalamin and other nutritive nerve drugs. It is recommended to use medication under the guidance of a doctor, not blindly self-medication, in order to avoid adverse effects.
