The rabies vaccine is mainly administered by the five-dose method. Most people do not develop a fever after the rabies vaccine injection, and a few people will develop 1-2 fevers. The fever will not exceed 39°C. The fever will be relieved in half a day and there will be no other discomfort. A small number of patients may have 2-3 fevers, but the incidence is very low. Some patients may also have a combined rash, localized redness, swelling, heat and pain, but they do not require special treatment and will basically resolve themselves after 1-2 days. 80% or more of the population will not develop fever with rabies vaccination.
