What’s the reason the report card doesn’t say the nature of the lung nodule?

Lung nodules found after lung imaging without writing the nature of the nodule are commonly found in relatively small nodules with atypical shapes and margins, which are only indicated in the report of the nodule, and will not indicate the nature of the nodule.
Smaller lung nodules, especially those smaller than 3mm, will not be described in particular detail in the description of the test report. Such small nodules are often considered inflammatory lesions, for which the nature will not be written or determined. It can be determined by the doctor in conjunction with the patient’s medical history, symptoms, and other tests.
If the lung nodule is larger than 3mm, usually the report will have a description of the nodule boundary, shape and even density, if there is a malignant feature, then there will be a hint in the report to consider or tend to malignant, and suggest further pathological examination, if it is benign, the report will also suggest.
Therefore, the report does not write the nature of lung nodules, often suggesting a relatively mild lesion, not to the conditions of the initial judgment of the nature of the nodule, it is recommended to follow the doctor’s instructions to improve the examination, regular review or take the appropriate anti-inflammatory treatment, there is no need to worry too much.
