Symptoms of pneumothorax in women are no different from those in men, and usually manifest as dyspnea, chest pain, coughing and other symptoms.
1. Difficulty in breathing: due to the patient’s sudden wheezing and inability to come up for air, as the gas enters into the pleural cavity, which leads to dyspnea.
2. Chest pain: Due to the sudden entry of gas into the pleural cavity, it may cause severe pain when the pleural cavity is irritated. The pain is momentary and short-lived, and may disappear with the increase of gas in the pleural cavity.
3. Cough: Pneumothorax patients are accompanied by cough, due to the pleural reaction after pneumothorax, mostly dry cough, caused by pleural irritation.
It is recommended that patients with pneumothorax should go to the hospital in time and under the guidance of the doctor for relevant examinations and treatment.
