Phase Gate is located in the anterior chest, at the 6th intercostal space, 4 inches away from the anterior midline. It is easy to take the point directly below the nipple at the 6th intercostal space. The foot syncopal meridian starts from Dadun point on the lateral end of the big toe and ends at Ximen point on the 6th rib space under the breast, with 14 points on the left and 14 points on the right. In addition, Zhimen is also a recruitment point of the liver meridian, and is often used to treat fullness and pain in the chest and ribs, depression, nausea and vomiting, acid reflux, hiccups, abdominal distension, breast carbuncle, and fever. Precautions: Acupuncture treatment should be operated by professional practitioners; needling of Phase Gate points should be done flatly or obliquely, not straightly, not deeply, and improper operation may lead to pneumothorax.
