Effects of polycresol sulfonyl suppositories

Polycresol sulfonyl suppositories are mainly used in the treatment of gynecological infectious diseases. The main active ingredient is polycresol sulfonyl, which mainly kills bacteria, fungi and trichomonads through strong acid and protein coagulation, and can selectively cause necrosis, lesion tissue and columnar epithelial protein degeneration, causing vasoconstriction and plasma protein coagulation to stop bleeding. Polymethanesulfonate also has broad-spectrum antibacterial effects, including common Gram-positive and negative bacteria, fungi, and certain viruses. The drug has a selective coagulation effect on necrotic and diseased tissues and promotes tissue regeneration and epithelial re-coverage. Healthy squamous epithelium is unaffected, whereas the cytoplasm and nucleus of columnar epithelium may swell after exposure to the drug, followed by crumpling for a few seconds. Polymethylsulfonyl is not toxic when applied topically, and suppositories are used clinically for the treatment of cervical erosion, cervicitis, various types of vaginal infections such as leucorrhea caused by bacteria, trichomonas and mycobacteria, as well as for vulvar itching and pressure ulcers caused by the use of uterine supports. In conclusion, polycresol sulfonyl suppositories can be used mainly for gynecological related disorders.
