Location of the Anointing Point and Tianzong Point

Anointing point of Vermicelli is under the spinous process of the 4th thoracic vertebra, 3 inches away from the posterior midline; Tianzong point is in the depression at the intersection of the upper 1/3 and lower 2/3 of the line connecting the midpoint of the scapular ridge and the lower angle of the scapula.
1. Anointing the Vermicelli Point: specifically in the 4th thoracic vertebra under the spinous process, 3 inches away from the posterior midline. Anointing point belongs to the foot solar bladder meridian, its functions include nourishing yin and moisturizing the lungs, benefiting qi and strengthening the spleen, and treating asthma, consumption, cough, forgetfulness, lethargy, night sweating (sweating abnormally after going to sleep, and sweating stops after waking up), scapular pain, and spermatorrhea.
2. Tianzong point: located in the scapular region, specifically in the depression at the intersection of the upper 1/3 and lower 2/3 of the line connecting the midpoint of the scapular ridge and the lower angle of the scapula. Tianzong point belongs to the small intestine meridian of the sun of the hand, and its functions include relaxing tendons and activating collaterals, clearing heat and relieving pain, regulating qi and broadening the chest, and treating scapular pain, shoulder and back injuries, and shortness of breath.
