Xiangsha Liu Jun Zi Wan and Liu Jun Zi Wan are different, mainly in the drug, efficacy, the main treatment of the difference.
1. Drugs: Six Gentlemen Pill is composed of Codonopsis, Poria, Atractylodes macrocephala, Semen xia, Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, Licorice, Ginger and Jujubes, while Xiangsha Liu Jun Zi Wan is based on Six Gentlemen Pill and added with Mullein and Sand Seed.
2. Effects: Liu Jun Zi Wan has the effects of tonifying the spleen and benefiting the qi, drying dampness and resolving phlegm (expelling dampness and resolving phlegm by drying dampness), while Xiang Sha Liu Jun Wan has the effects of strengthening the spleen, benefiting the qi and harmonizing the stomach.
3. Indications: Liu Jun Zi Wan is used for treating spleen deficiency with phlegm-dampness and Xiang Sha Liu Jun Wan is used for spleen deficiency with Qi stagnation.
The adverse effects of Liujunzi Pill and Xiangsha Liujunwan have not been clarified, and are contraindicated for those who are allergic to the ingredients contained therein, and are to be taken under the guidance of a physician.
