For the treatment of gallbladder polyps, laparoscopic cholecystectomy is preferred, and after surgery, the gallbladder is sent to the pathology department for stained sections to further determine whether the polyp is adenomatous or cholesterol polyps, or other nature of the lesion may be. For patients with gallbladder polyps, the indication for surgery requires regular review of the upper abdominal ultrasound for changes in polyp diameter. If the patient’s upper abdominal ultrasound indicates that the polyp is less than 1cm in diameter, it can be actively observed; if the growth is faster than 1cm, it is recommended to consider surgery and gradually resume normal diet half a month after surgery. Patients with gallbladder polyps are not recommended to take drugs, because the role of drugs on gallbladder polyps is not very meaningful, and the cost of patients will also increase.
