Saddle uterus is a developmental malformation of the uterus, that is, a uterus shaped like a saddle. Saddle uterus is a common congenital developmental abnormality of the uterus, the pathogenesis of which is not well understood. The bottom of the saddle-shaped uterus is slightly depressed downward, resulting in a saddle or curved uterus instead of the normal inverted pear shape. A saddle-shaped uterus may interfere with a woman’s conception process. Saddle shaped uterus can be detected by gynecological ultrasound. In cases where adolescent females experience prolonged irregular menstruation and dysmenorrhea, and married females always fail to conceive, it is recommended to first undergo gynecological ultrasound to see if the uterus is in a normal shape. If there is any discomfort, it is recommended to consult a doctor as soon as possible.
