1.Drug treatment There is no definite effect of cataract drug treatment, at present, both at home and abroad are in the exploratory stage of research, some early cataract, after the use of drugs, the condition may slow down the development of visual acuity is also slightly improved, but this is not necessarily the result of drug treatment, because the cataract of the early progression of the maturity of the cataract is a long process, it is possible to naturally stop in a certain stage of development without seriously affecting the visual acuity. In some patients with mid-stage cataracts, vision and lens clouding failed to improve with medication. In the near-mature stage of cataract, drug treatment is even less meaningful. At present, the commonly used drugs in the clinic are eye drops or oral Chinese and western medicines. 2.Surgical treatment (1) Cataract ultrasonography is a new type of cataract surgery carried out at home and abroad in recent years. Ultrasound is used to pulverize the lens nucleus to make it in the form of celiac disease, and then it is sucked out together with the cortex, and the posterior capsule membrane of the lens is preserved after the operation, and an atrial artificial lens can be implanted at the same time. Ultrasonic cataract extraction can be performed when the age-related cataract has progressed to a visual acuity of less than 0.3, or when the extent and location of the cataract significantly affects or interferes with visual function, and the patient wishes to have a good quality of vision. The advantages are small incision, less tissue damage, short operation time and fast vision recovery. (2) Extracapsular cataract extraction has a smaller incision than intracapsular extraction. The cloudy lens nucleus is discharged and the cortex is suctioned out, but the posterior lens capsule is left behind. The posterior capsule membrane is preserved, and a posterior chamber IOL can be implanted at the same time, restoring visual function immediately after surgery. Therefore, extracapsular extraction of cataract has become a routine surgical procedure for cataract nowadays.
