The patient’s ears and nose are connected, mainly through the eustachian tube. If there is a problem with the ears or nose, the eustachian tube will also show a series of symptoms and become blocked. Therefore, the patient must clarify whether it is the nose or the ear that is uncomfortable, and then go to the hospital for a detailed examination. In case of ear discomfort, the patient can improve pure tone audiometry and acoustic conductance to clarify the pressure in the eustachian tube. If the discomfort is in the nose, the cause of the discomfort must be actively identified and the specific condition of the patient’s nasal cavity must be clarified by perfecting nasal endoscopy. If there is rhinitis, it must be actively treated to avoid the secretion of large amounts of nasal mucus, which can aggravate the blockage of the patient’s eustachian tube. Clinically the commonly used drugs for rhinitis are nasal abyss and orifice granules, trimethoprim nasal spray, and mometasone furoate nasal spray patients can selectively apply. When the patient’s ear or nose disease is resolved, the eustachian tube will be open.
