What to do if you have an ovarian cyst that causes pain in your abdomen

Ovarian cysts are painful in the abdomen and need to be treated with surgery.

Ovarian cysts are relatively common ovarian tumors, the vast majority of benign lesions, the chance of malignant lesions is relatively low, can be divided into physiological ovarian cysts and pathological ovarian cysts two types.

1. Physiologic ovarian cysts. If it is a physiological ovarian cyst, it may be formed after ovulation, or it may be formed by luteinization of the follicle, which is usually relatively small and will not lead to abdominal pain, so it does not need to be dealt with. Once ruptured, surgery may be needed.

2. Pathologic ovarian cysts. Some pathologic factors may also lead to ovarian cysts, such as endometriosis of the uterus to the ovaries to form chocolate cysts. Pathologic ovarian cysts are basically asymptomatic when they are small. However, if the cyst is large, it may twist or rupture, causing severe abdominal pain and requiring emergency surgery.
