Clinically, the drug is used to treat disorders caused by endogenous progesterone deficiency, such as dysmenorrhea, endometriosis, secondary amenorrhea, irregular menstrual cycles, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, premenstrual syndrome, progesterone deficiency-induced preeclampsia or habitual abortion, and infertility due to luteal insufficiency.
