Triptorelin and leuprolide belong to the same class of drugs and there is no significant difference between them. Triptorelin and leuprolide are both used for prostate cancer, estrogen receptor positive premenopausal breast cancer, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and in children to treat central precocious puberty. However, when using the above drugs, interstitial pneumonitis with fever, cough, dyspnea, chest X-ray abnormalities, and liver dysfunction or jaundice may occur, and may cause or aggravate the symptoms of pre-existing diabetes mellitus (the incidence of which is not known), and the patient’s blood glucose or glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels should be closely monitored during treatment. It is also contraindicated in people who are allergic to the product, pregnant women, nursing mothers, and people with abnormal vaginal bleeding of unknown nature. All of the above medications should be used under the guidance of a doctor, avoid self-medication.
