What do patients with low back pain need to be aware of?

  (a) maintain good habits, prevent the back and legs from getting cold, prevent overwork. (B) stand or sit in the correct posture. The spine is not correct, will cause uneven force on the intervertebral disc, is the hidden root cause of disc protrusion. The correct posture should be “standing like a pine, sitting like a bell”, chest up, waist straight. The same posture should not be maintained for too long, appropriate in situ activities or low back activities, can lift the low back muscle fatigue. (C) exercise leg bending amplitude is not too large, otherwise not only will not achieve the desired purpose, but also cause disc protrusion. (D) do not bend when lifting heavy objects, should first squat down to get heavy objects, and then slowly get up, try not to bend. From a biomechanical point of view, the lumbar 4 to lumbar 5 and lumbar 5 to sacral 1 intervertebral discs are under the greatest pressure and have the greatest mobility, while the posterior longitudinal ligaments located in these two segments are relatively narrow (only 1/2 of the upper width), so the lumbar 4 to lumbar 5 and lumbar 5 to sacral 1 intervertebral discs are the most easily damaged parts, and clinically it is also the lumbar 4 to lumbar 5 and lumbar 5 to sacral 1 discs that are most commonly herniated. (E) a balanced diet, protein, vitamin content should be high, fat, cholesterol should be low, prevent obesity, quit smoking and control alcohol. (F) pay attention to the combination of work and rest, correct posture, do not sit and stand for a long time, and do preparatory activities before strenuous physical activities. (vii) bed rest, preferably with a hard bed, to maintain the physiological curvature of the spine. (H) avoid cold and keep warm. (ix) lumbar disc herniation is a disease of the sports system, the principle of prevention requires the reduction of sports, relaxation and rest. (J) usually should strengthen the lumbar back muscle exercise, strengthen the lumbar spine.
