Symptoms of ringworm of the nipple

In nipple ringworm, there is usually the possibility of a certain fungal infection in the nipple area. The presence of a fungal infection in the nipple area may be accompanied by localized flushing and a certain amount of flaking, which may be diffuse or fine scaling. This may be accompanied by varying degrees of itching in the area. Ringworm of the nipples may be unilateral, or it may have a bilateral symmetrical distribution. In some cases, the ringworm may develop further, gradually forming a circle of such inflammatory lesions towards the periphery of the nipple, and there is a certain central self-healing phenomenon, accompanied by marked itching.
