OBJECTIVE: To investigate the characteristics of adverse reactions and the corresponding management of sorafenib in the treatment of advanced:renal cancer. Methods: Fifty-eight patients with advanced metastatic renal cancer were treated with sorafenib. There were 44 male cases and 14 female cases. The mean age was 50 (34-79) years. 49 cases were treated with oral sorafenib 400 mg twice daily as monotherapy, and 9 cases were treated with interferon a 3 million U subcutaneously on days 1-5 in combination with the standard dose, repeated every 7 d. The main assessment was the adverse effects that occurred during treatment and their corresponding management.
