Five notes for the elderly cardiovascular patients to spend the summer safely

  1. Prevent postural hypotension. Stand up slowly from a sitting or squatting position; when you get up at night, sit up slowly and rest for 5-10 seconds before getting out of bed; try to use a sitting or squatting position when urinating to prevent syncope attacks. If you feel dizzy or black in front of your eyes, you should immediately stand against the wall with your eyes closed for a while or sit down in place for a while.  2, after the hot weather vasodilation, some hypertensive patients will have a drop in blood pressure, so you need to monitor blood pressure, according to the blood pressure in a timely manner to adjust the dose of antihypertensive drugs, but can not easily stop the drug; 70 years of age or more hypertensive patients should not be less than 70mmHg diastolic blood pressure. 3, the diet is mainly light, sweating more to drink more water or green bean soup, eat more fruits and vegetables to replenish blood volume.  4, exercise to 6-9 am or 5-7 pm is appropriate, the weather is not very hot in these two time periods. Patients with hypertension take antihypertensive drugs before exercising in the morning. Avoid traveling, working or engaging in recreational activities during the hot weather.  5. Maintain adequate sleep: sleep for at least 6 hours at night and 30-60 minutes at noon.
