What are the contraindications of taking Chinese medicine for stroke patients

There are contraindications for stroke patients when taking Chinese medicine, and these contraindications lie between medicine and food, either because of the opposite nature of the food inhibiting the efficacy of the drug and reducing the effect, or because of other side effects that occur when the two are used together. For example, a stroke patient is taking the Chinese medicine formula “Dihuang Drink” containing Dihuang, food should be prohibited to eat radish, because the radish can inhibit the medicinal properties of Dihuang, and the main drug in this formula is Dihuang, once its medicinal properties are inhibited, it will definitely affect the clinical efficacy. Another example is a patient in the acute stage of stroke is taking ginseng and dragon peony soup, food should be prohibited to eat mung beans, because the food mung beans of cold offset the drug sapodilla of heat, thus reducing the therapeutic effect of the party. Other taboos in this area include: the ban on mutton, dog meat and chili peppers for medicinal use, and the ban on radish for medicinal use of ginseng.
