Thyroid nodules are differentiated into one, two, three or four grades, with higher grades representing more malignant nodules. Thyroid nodule grading is generally referred to as TI-RADS grading, which is divided into six grades, with the degree of malignancy increasing as the grade increases. Grade 1: It is a normal thyroid. Grade 2: is a benign thyroid nodule with a regular nodule pattern and clear borders. Grade 3: It is a benign nodule, but there is a possibility of malignancy, and the probability of malignancy is <2%. Grade 4: can be categorized as 4a, 4b, 4c, the probability of malignancy is 2%-90%, the probability of malignancy is getting bigger and bigger, it is recommended to do thyroid puncture to clarify the nature of the nodule. Grade 5: The probability of malignancy of the nodule is greater than 90%. Grade 6: Pathologic confirmation of malignancy, confirmed cancer.
