What do I need to prepare my breast during pregnancy?

In recent years, with the arrival of the peak of “dragon babies” and “horse babies”, everyone wants to have a healthy baby, but while the health of the baby is important, the health of the mother-to-be should not be neglected, but often many people neglect the most important breast health of women in the current preconception checkups. I think it is very important to remind all mothers-to-be to do some pre-pregnancy breast examinations. Why should we pay attention to pre-pregnancy breast examination? Many people may think that if you are young, there must be nothing wrong with your breasts, so why do you need to check them. In fact, the incidence of breast fibroadenoma is high among young women. Although it is a benign disease, the hormone level changes greatly after pregnancy, which can cause fibroadenoma to increase significantly within a short period of time, and even become malignant lobular tumors, and there is no shortage of such patients in the clinic. I believe no one wants to face such a dilemma, whether to have a surgical biopsy to ensure the health of the mother-to-be, or not to have surgery to ensure the safety of the fetus and spend the whole pregnancy in worry and apprehension. In addition, although the incidence of breast cancer during pregnancy is very low, it often has a poor prognosis because it is not easily detected or delayed. If you find any unexplained lump or overflow in your breast, you should go to the clinic in time for examination. How to check the breast? Although studies have shown that molybdenum and palladium have limited radiation to the human body, it is not recommended to take this test from six months before pregnancy preparation to avoid unnecessary radiation and to avoid the low positive rate of molybdenum and palladium penetration to the young dense breast. Ultrasound examinations based on the ultrasound echo imaging principle can be performed in any trimester and it is safe and effective. What should I do if there is a problem? If a breast fibroadenoma is detected, we recommend that surgical removal before pregnancy is appropriate. Timing is safe to perform it 3 months before conception. In fact, this surgery is very small, the lump is removed under local anesthesia, and after experiencing a natural menstrual cycle to ovulate, conception is completely natural the following month, and the effect of medication can be almost negligible. People may worry that the surgery may affect postpartum breastfeeding, but this is not necessary. The surgery only removes the lump and some of the surrounding tissues, and the effect on breastfeeding is minimal, so I recommend that you remove the lump as soon as you find it, as compared to the lesser of two evils. If you have a congenital defect of nipple invagination and are afraid that it will affect postpartum breastfeeding, then you can consider coming to our hospital six months ago to have a nipple invagination correction surgery. However, regardless of the type of surgery, the post-operative effect is only an improvement, and cannot fully achieve the normal nipple breastfeeding function, some patients will also experience nipple retraction. Therefore, we recommend doing it six months before pregnancy for the best results. Do a good pregnancy mammogram, love your child and care for the mother-to-be more, so that we can welcome the arrival of the baby in happiness and health.
