Tendon ruptures are normally not self-healing and should be treated promptly. Tendon rupture is mostly caused by sharp cuts, and some patients may suffer from closed tendon rupture caused by violent injuries or strain injuries. Under normal circumstances, tendon rupture cannot be healed on its own, because muscle contracture caused by proximal tendon retraction after tendon rupture, resulting in separation of the ruptured end of the tendon, and the separated tendon cannot be healed. Surgery is needed to close the ruptured tendon, after which it is immobilized with a brace or plaster to promote recovery. Tendon rupture usually can not be healed by itself, after the symptoms appear, it is recommended to go to the hospital to take surgical treatment in a timely manner, do not delay the condition, so as not to lead to adverse consequences.
