High-grade squamous intraepithelial neoplasia is a precancerous lesion, an irreversible lesion, including CIN grade 2, CIN grade 3, and carcinoma in situ, which is prone to progress to cervical invasive carcinoma. In contrast, low-grade squamous intraepithelial neoplasia has less chance to progress to cervical invasive carcinoma. High-grade squamous intraepithelial neoplasia is staged clinico-pathologically based on glandular involvement, infiltration, depth of infiltration, extent of infiltration, lymphatic vessels and vascular infiltration, and treated with cervical conization, Lipo knife, or hysterectomy, and the degree of lesion is further determined by postoperative pathological examination.
