Conservative treatment of fractures in the elderly usually takes three to six months to recover. Due to osteoporosis and relatively poor physical condition of the elderly, the time for fracture healing will be relatively longer. If the fracture is in good alignment and line and the fracture end is stable, it can also be treated with conservative treatment. The speed of fracture healing varies depending on the location of the fracture. Locations with more cancellous bone will heal faster due to relatively better blood circulation. Generally speaking, a fibrous connection will be formed in about two weeks, a fibrous bone scab will be formed in about four weeks, and the bone will be basically healed in about three months. After later rehabilitation exercises, full recovery may take about six months. Elderly people must go to the regular hospital after the fracture, complete the relevant examination, clear diagnosis and follow the doctor’s instructions and active treatment, do not do it on their own, so as not to delay the condition.
