Root canals for children are anesthetized and do not cause children to feel pain. However, some children may be afraid and thus experience psychological pain. It is recommended that after the procedure, they should need to go to the hospital for regular follow-ups as prescribed by the doctor. When children undergo root canal treatment, if the pulp is not completely necrotic, it will produce varying degrees of pain. Before opening the pulp, the doctor will give local anesthetics to relieve the pain and block the pain sensation, and the subsequent root canal preparation and filling will not cause pain; if the nerve is completely necrotic, the whole process of root canal treatment will not cause pain. In general, severe endodontics and periapical disease require root canal treatment to remove the infected tissue in the pulp cavity and to fill the root canal, thus eliminating pulpitis caused by pulpal lesions and improving the pain symptoms caused by periodontal disease in children. It is also recommended to pay attention to oral hygiene to avoid the phenomenon of inflammation and infection, protect the periodontium, and try not to chew food with the affected side to prevent the teeth from loosening. Should avoid spicy, cold and other stimulating food.
