It is used for stomach pain and plumpness (stomach distension and discomfort) caused by deficiency of stomach yang and dampness obstruction and qi stagnation, which is characterized by vague stomach pain, stuffiness in the epigastric region, vomiting of acid, and cacophony (a feeling similar to hunger and emptiness with burning in the stomach) and discomfort. This medicine should be taken with warm water.
2. Sijunzi Pill, composed of Radix Codonopsis, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Poria, Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae, Ginger and Jujubae. It is used for treating deficiency of spleen and stomach qi, poor appetite, and loose stools (thin and unformed feces). It is not suitable for people with external infection or solid internal heat.
