What to do if an adult has a baby tooth in the middle of his incisor

In adults, a small tooth in the center of the incisor (clinically known as a “supernumerary tooth”) must be extracted by a doctor.
Polyostosis is one of the most common diseases in stomatology, and it occurs in the maxillary anterior region, but also in the mandibular region. They have a conical shape, or are small, undeveloped teeth.
The harm of supernumerary teeth mainly lies in affecting the development of permanent teeth and teeth arrangement. It causes tooth gap, permanent tooth obstruction, misalignment, and even root resorption of normal teeth.
Therefore, it is recommended to seek medical treatment in time to remove the supernumerary teeth, i.e., under the operation of dentist, use the extraction forceps or extractor to remove them completely; if the supernumerary teeth cause obvious misalignment of neighboring teeth, orthodontic treatment is also required to effectively restore the normal occlusion of the teeth.
