Swelling in the area of the foot where the contusion occurred may be just general soft tissue injury swelling. If the swelling is severe and is accompanied by significant pain and walking impairment, the possibility of fracture should be noted. Routine local x-ray examination is needed to rule out fracture. For foot contusions without fractures, local medication is the main thing, you can use some blood-activating drugs such as swelling and pain aerosol topical spray, in addition to using some creams such as pain-relieving plasters. For the time being, it is not advisable to walk long distances, stand and sit for a long time, and appropriate elevation of the limb can help reduce local swelling. For non-serious foot contusions and soft tissue injuries, there is usually significant improvement after a week or so of rest treatment. If there is a fracture in the local area, depending on the fracture displacement, choose surgery or conservative treatment.
