How long does it take for symptoms to appear

There is no strict limit on how long it takes for symptoms to appear after infection with HIV. Some patients will have symptoms in 2 to 4 weeks after the initial infection, and most patients will have symptoms for several years or more than ten years. The first infection will appear acute symptoms of viral infection, generally 2~4 weeks manifestation is fever, sore throat, lymph node swelling, rash, diarrhea, fatigue and other manifestations, blood test may be normal or mild decline in white blood cells, accompanied by a rise in lymphocytes. AIDS cannot be diagnosed by symptoms, and AIDS antibodies are usually required. Often the above soon resolves on its own and enters an asymptomatic period of several months or even more than ten years.
