There is a basic national standard for the charge of pathology section, generally the diagnosis of biopsy is 40 RMB; image analysis is 60 RMB; each additional part is 20 RMB; if immunohistochemistry is needed, the charge is based on the immunohistochemistry items, which is the most basic charge basis. However, the nature of the patient’s lesion is different and the charges may vary greatly. If it is a small gastroscopic specimen and the pathologist sees lymphoma under the microscope, he may need to do a lot of immunohistochemistry to identify the typing of lymphoma, so the fee will be higher. If it is a simple gastric polyp specimen, there is a big difference between the fee and the fee for lymphoma. For a large gastric cancer specimen, there are more things to take, maybe four or five pieces of cancerous tissue, and you also need to look for the surrounding lymph nodes. The scope of pathology report required for large and small specimens of gastric cancer is different. Small specimens may need to determine the nature of the disease, while large specimens may require the degree of infiltration of the lesion and the surrounding lymph nodes. The type and complexity of the lesion may vary, as well as the fee charged by each region.
