Multiple myeloma is likely to cause renal failure, especially light chain renal failure. If the light chains of immunoglobulins cannot bind to immunoglobulins, they will enter the kidneys through blood circulation and increase the burden on the kidneys through glomerular filtration, thus causing renal failure. Therefore, an important manifestation of multiple myeloma is renal failure, especially in light chain disease. The main treatment for light chain renal failure is the use of drugs to rapidly reduce the tumor load and mitigate the progression of renal failure. The main option is to use bortezomib plus hormones, which can clear the tumor load relatively quickly and thus tide over the difficulties. Of course, if the renal failure is very severe, dialysis can be used in conjunction with anti-tumor therapy, which is also a clinically feasible measure.
