Is haloperidol a levofloxacin capsule?

Haloperidol is norfloxacin, not levofloxacin. In general, haloperidol is a second-generation quinolone, while levofloxacin belongs to the third- or fourth-generation fluoroquinolones, and there is still a big difference between the two in terms of efficacy. Haloperidol is mainly used for some intestinal infections caused by Escherichia coli, while Levofloxacin, which is called a respiratory quinolone, can be widely used against gram-positive cocci, negative bacilli, and even Pseudomonas aeruginosa, as well as infections caused by atypical pathogens such as Chlamydia pneumoniae, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, and Legionella pneumophila. Therefore, Levofloxacin can be used for sinusitis, acute upper respiratory tract infections, community-acquired pneumonia, some of these bronchial and lung-associated infections of the respiratory system. It can also be used for skin infections and even for some infections of the urinary tract, whereas haloperidol (also called norfloxacin) is very rarely used nowadays because of its relatively wide range of adverse effects and its high level of resistance, so haloperidol is not a levofloxacin capsule.
