Various treatments for saphenous varicose veins

The early stage of saphenous varicose vein shows worm-like bruising and dilatation of the superficial veins of the lower extremities, which causes discomfort and pain when the patient stands and disappears when walking or lying down. When the disease progresses to the later stage, the skin of the lower limbs becomes nutritionally impaired due to poor blood circulation, and skin atrophy, desquamation, itching, hyperpigmentation, hardening of skin and subcutaneous tissue, and even eczema and ulcer formation occur. Especially the back of the foot, ankle, lower leg, in serious cases or after trauma skin ulceration, after a long time, commonly known as “old rotten feet”. Long-term standing, sedentary, sports or overload work of people, such as teachers, salesmen, office workers athletes, etc. are also prone to this disease. Non-surgical treatment for milder cases, wearing elastic stockings to improve venous blood circulation in the lower extremities can stop further development of the disease, but cannot fundamentally cure the disease; sclerotherapy injections can also be taken to treat varicose veins, but only for small, limited lesions or as an adjunct to surgery. The most fundamental treatment for this disease is surgery, and most common surgical procedures are high ligation and segmental stripping of the saphenous vein. Holmium laser minimally invasive treatment of the saphenous vein, one of the most advanced treatment methods internationally, is particularly useful for patients who cannot tolerate conventional surgical treatment because of other diseases.
